The Deep Tech Spain 2026–2030 Strategy aims to transform the country’s scientific potential into technological leadership.
The Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities and the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service are leading this strategy, which involves 11 other ministries and requires close coordination with autonomous communities, universities, research centers, technology centers, and companies, as well as with the European Union.
With a projected investment of more than 8 billion euros through 2030, the strategy aims to enhance scientific and technological capabilities, strengthen the business sector, and build a coordinated ecosystem among government agencies, research centers, and companies. It focuses on key areas such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, quantum computing, and clean energy, with the goal of transforming scientific knowledge into competitive technology companies and improving the connection between research and the market.
