BBVA is collaborating on the Q-Design project, a consortium of 15 companies sponsored by the European Space Agency and Hispasat to create a satellite-based quantum key distribution network

Although still in its early stages, its goal is to create a communications infrastructure that protects information at all times, and it is one of the first steps toward the development of a future quantum internet.

Quantum entanglement still requires time and further development before its applications can be seen in everyday life, but it is already the foundation upon which new advanced techniques are being built. Its capabilities are beginning to take shape as tools that point toward a new generation of financial services with more advanced capabilities in analysis, optimization, and security.
