The CFM Materials Physics Center in Donostia-San Sebastián hosted the Quantum Technologies for Space Workshop on 21st October, with the support of the Basque Quantum (BasQ) strategy.
The European Space Agency (ESA) met with research groups, technology centres and companies from the Basque ecosystem to identify where BasQ’s capabilities can contribute to future space missions, as well as the areas where gaps remain.
The programme focused on two areas: quantum communications and quantum sensing.
BasQ would like to thank the CFM Materials Physics Center and QNanoLab for hosting and organising the workshop, ESA for its participation, and all the speakers and attendees whose contributions made the day so productive.
Further information about the workshop is available here.
